Become a Safety Ambassador
EESF is looking for a few good ambassadors to spread the work about elevator and escalator safety. We need your knowledge and time to ensure that the riding public have a positive experience using the products we manufacture, install, and maintain.
Becoming a Safety Ambassador for EESF is easy. Choose a program (or more) and follow these steps.
Safe-t-Riders Program “Children”
What’s Involved: Total time involved (including prep and presentation): 60-90 Minutes.
Do you have friends, neighbors, or family who have children in preschool, day care or kindergarten? Perfect. The first step is easy. Reach out to them and find where their kids attend. This is your IN to present the program. If you don’t have these contacts, check into your neighborhood child care centers or schools.
Get a contact name for the facilities and call or email them. If referred to by a friend or family member, make sure to share the family’s name of whomever is in the school and explain the program using the EESF outline. Mention that if they have a safety-themed month were fire, police and other professionals come in to present that this program is perfect for the age groups 4-7 years old.
After the preschool has reviewed the information, set up a date, go over the material and present on the date that’s been arranged.
Complete a Volunteer Educator Form and request materials.
Have fun! Kids will love you and the Safe-T-Riders!
A Safe Ride Program “Older Adults”
What’s Involved: (Total time involved (including prep and presentation): 60-90 Minutes.
Do you know people who have family members currently residing in assisted care facilities, rehab facilities or retirement communities who may not be as stable on their feet as they once used to be? Reach out to them and find out where their friends or relatives are residing. This is your IN to connect with the facility manager.
Ask them to provide a contact name for the facility who you can email/call. When doing so, make sure to share the family’s name of whomever is in the facility.
Complete a Volunteer Educator Form and request materials.
The goal in promoting this program is to help minimize/eliminate accidents on our industries equipment due to people riding escalators who should really be riding elevators as well as making sure those with mobility issues do not use any type of motorized scooter, wheelchair on an escalator.
